The story of ishutters

Hi, I’m Mat, the creator of ishutters!

I’ve spent most of my career building websites, working in digital marketing and creating online businesses. Along the way, shutters became a surprisingly significant part of my work, with around 10 years spent working closely with businesses in the UK shutter industry.

During that time, I worked closely with a large UK shutter supplier network, becoming involved in their digital marketing and gaining a close up view of the industry, the products and the market.

I later worked directly with another shutter company, helping them develop their website and online presence over many years as they grew from a small family business into a large, established company serving customers across the South of England.

I moved away from working with shutter companies around 2020 to concentrate on my own online projects. But my interest in shutters never really went away!

Why I created ishutters

After spending so many years around the industry, I wanted to create a website that brings together shutter knowledge with something I genuinely enjoy, creating useful websites.

ishutters is an independent resource for anyone researching shutters, whether you’re looking for information, trying to understand the different options available, or simply looking for inspiration for your home.

Over the years, I’ve learned a great deal about the products, the industry and perhaps most importantly, the questions homeowners ask when they’re considering shutters for their own homes.

I’m now putting that experience into ishutters to create a useful, straightforward and trustworthy resource for anyone interested in shutters.
